My Wonderful 2008

Hmmm!! coming to think of it another year has neared its end and it seems to me that i just had wished everyone a HAPPY 2008. Well time has run quite fast. This year seemed to have been a quite happening one for me.. I got to meet lots of people, got to know my friends a lot better, new relationships have closed in, so many things to think about. This year has really made an important part of my life. Some of the events that i would like to mention..

First of all my brother's wedding.. It was the first wedding that i properly attended after such a long time. ha! ha! Well, i got to know a lot of relatives, and found myself a new lovable brother there, who happened to be my college mate!!. It was real fun.

Then there came so many festivals, short hangouts with my family and cousins, went out with my brother to a concert to relish the december music season and oh yes how could i forget to mention MY FIRST COLLEGE TOUR (well actually it was an IV but then..) WOW MAN!! GOA and BANGALORE 5 days of complete craziness..what a BLAST we had. Its where i got to know my fellow mates and department staffs much better. A complete new experience.
Then there we were into our sem exams, but i don think we really took anything seriously considering it the last sem in college where we could really enjoy.. and luckily most of the papers where quite easy.
2009 ahead will be another turning point where i'll have to make over myself into a professional person to get into a good job but then i'm eagerly awaiting it with big dreams and expecting it to be much more eventful than the previous year..
!!!WISH U A VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS 2009 FRIENDS!!!

2@@9 the year of Operating Systems

This year while Apple is expected to release a new version of its Mac OS, Palm is betting on the Nova to shore up its rapidly-sinking fortunes. Then there is Nokia, which is taking its Symbian Series 60 into the touch territory with the Fifth Edition. This, even as it works with the Symbian Foundation to come up with an open-source Symbian operating system. BlackBerry will further tweak its OS, while there's a fair chance that iPhone's next edition will offer something new. Looming in the back ground are Windows 7 (though, we do not expect an official release in 2009) and several Linux versions.

FOR ALL MY FRIENDS WHO R WEARING AND R PLANNING TO USE CONTACT LENSES

If u ask me contact lenses are the best choice and can be preferred more over glasses…they r indeed quite attractive but there are certain important rules to be followed without which contact lenses would end up ur worst night mare!!!
The Contact lenses mostly used are the soft and semisoft lenses. Disposables are the most hygienic option as they r replaced after a particular period – either daily, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly.
Here are some of the do’s and don’s of using contact lenses..
· Don’t use an anti-bacterial soap since you may destroy the natural bacteria found on the eye. These bacteria keep pathogenic bacteria from colonizing the cornea.
· Excessive use, particularly overnight wear should be avoided.
· Make sure the tip of the contact lens solution bottle does not touch any surface, including your body as it can become contaminated.
· Don let tape water run on your contact lenses and accessories, as it can carry a micro organism called Acanthameoba that causes serious eye infections.
· Lens can be rinsed with hot tap water and dried when not in use.
· Throw out your contact lens case once a month, or as directed to reduce your risk of infection.
· Cleaning is a must atleast once a day.
· If any minor irritation, consult the doctor immediately.
· Always keep an u-to-date spare pair of prescription glasses handy to give your eyes rest from the contact lenses.
· Never cry on put any eye make-up while wearing contact lenses. Its not recommendable.
· Always wear lenses before make-up and remove them before removing make-up.
· Get ur eyes examined at least once a year or as directed by your ophthalmologist.

Contact lenses can a be much more safer to use and fun too if these simple rules are followed..

GENERAL TIPS ON WHAT IT RECRUITERS EXPECT

A person might have very good academic records, but he faces failure. A person might be well accomplished in technical skills but he may be chucked out.
WHAT IS THE REASON BEHIND THIS?
The main reason is lack of preparation. They have the stuff in them but are unable to present it upto the expectations of the recruiters.
Here are some general tips on what recruiters are looking for in people. (Source – ‘Education plus’ – THE HINDU’) (Emphasis sdded)
· College – The colleges are ranked first so which college u study in matters a lot said Vishwanathan Venkatasubramanian, Senior Manager Talent Aqusition – Wipro Technologies.
· A good resume.
· Good and consistent academic track records. (Some companies look for good scores in class X and XII).
· Most important- ‘ NO HISTORY OF ARREARS’
· Practical exposure ( Choose a good project as project experience is considered important).
· Never mention group projects as an individual creation in the resume.
· Freshers – Be thorough on the projects you have done.
· Don know something?? ADMIT IT!! Assure them that u r willing to learn it soon!!
· Proof of self created code in a CD along with the resume adds credit..
· Add any additional certification courses on the resume only if its completed.
· On the whole ‘ If something is on your resume, it should be true’ says Shubha – Wipro technologies.

Before all this… there’s one most important thing..

‘PREPARE FOR THE APTITUDES LONG BEFORE HAND’
They are the initial keys of your journey towards your ‘DREAM CAREER’..

A HUG, A PAT,A WORD THAT,S ALL…

In todays world people are too busy, too preoccupied, too self-centered….ITS TRUE..
But no one can blame anyone for that. Its how people think that they can keep on to the pace of the ever changing world…

The situation has become thus that people have lost their interest towards looking into what their fellow comrade is doing…

U must have seen many people with extraordinary talents on the streets.. Have u ever thought of questioning them as to why they have become so? Well I did once…

When I had gone to delhi during my vacations I happened to come across a person who was singing on the streets.. I have heard a lot others who sing but this man was quite different. He had such a beautiful voice and had composed such a mind-blowing tune that I really thought that it was one of those mock shows or some kind of shooting going on…I mean I couldn believe that a person with so much talent was singing just for earning a days stomach fill… Man he had such talent that every person who passed by paused for a minute or two to his beats…
Out of curiosity when i started a conversation with him and guess what he said..”Amma I am one of those left out cases in this world.God has given me talents but he is so cruel to create people who dont even care about them. I have lost all hopes and I am tired of trying to make myself visible. Every one is so preoccupied and selfish. I don expect a great pomp and show, just a silent admiration and encouragement, its all the money I ever wanted”…

Fellow mates there’s a very important lesson to learn from this.. every person in this world expects some recognition of himself..It surely isn’t going to harm anyone if we congratulate or appreciate a person who really deserves it. Try it out!! Nothing much just a hug or a pat or a silent gesture of appreciation is all that is to be done u will see wonders working out .. u will become the most remembered and caring person…People will want to work under u.

Take interest in what ur co workers, do appreciate them to the fullest extent ..what ever they do motivate them.. this will be their greatest inspiration..
This is the most easy but effective way by which u can win others..as well as bring out others.

So try starting by giving urself a pat first…..

HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS

HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS
Human relationships is a very interesting topic to discuss about in my point of view..

It is the most important factor with which all the things going on in this world, r going on... properly..to some extent.

I recently read a book by DALE CARNEGIE..really interesting.
I would like to share a topic that I really liked and which I hope will be useful for others too…
Do u remember yourself wanting to get something done so badly ,but the person who needs to do the work for u is in no mood to even recognize u.. well what would u have done at that moment…
Probably cursed him behind his back…
Or probably
Ran around him for days together just to make yourself noticed…
In the middle of all this u would have had one question continuously ringing inside your head “How on earth can I get this man to acknowledge me?”
There’s only one way and don have a second thought to do it..
“JUST TRY TO MAKE THE OTHER PERSON WANT TO DO YOUR JOB”
Its as simple as that……
Dale Carnegie says that ”its ofcourse quite easy to make someone give his belongings by sticking a revolver in his ribs..
Its easy to make employees give you cooperation until ur back is turned---‘By threatening to fire them.” But whats the use in that ..all of it will turn against u one fine day.. ya that’s true..
Instead try making the other person to understand the benefits that he gains from doing ur job..Give two or three extra reasonable build ups it won hurt for sure..
By doing all these, your work gets over before you know..the other guy also gets what he wants and you also maintain a friendly relationship…
WOW!! Isn’t it cool that’s all you wanted..that’s all that you just wanted and its all done without any confusion and complications..
So then why don u try it out in real life..it worked for me. So try the smooth road rather than the bumpy and broken one……
